Compensation: Approximately $68,000-$79,000 annually, plus leasing commissions (based on a 35-hour work week; compensation dependent on experience)


Position Overview

A well-established and innovative property management organization is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a multi-tenant commercial/industrial property in Newbury Park, CA. This role is ideal for a customer-focused professional who takes pride in operational excellence, tenant satisfaction, and proactive property management.

The Commercial Property Manager will serve as the on-site point of contact for tenants and vendors and will partner closely with senior property leadership to ensure smooth operations, cost control, and strong financial performance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of property operations, including building systems, security, janitorial services, landscaping, and parking
  • Manage leasing activities, including renewals, lease documentation, and interpretation of commercial lease agreements
  • Maintain strong tenant relationships and proactively address issues to support retention
  • Assist with marketing initiatives for the property
  • Prepare and support annual operating budgets, capital expenditures, CAM estimates, reconciliations, and monthly financial reports
  • Manage administrative and accounting functions, including rent rolls, accounts payable/receivable, lease administration, insurance certificates, collections, and delinquencies
  • Coordinate capital projects and tenant improvements, including vendor selection, bids, and build-outs
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure the property remains clean, organized, and market-ready

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of commercial property management experience
  • Strong working knowledge of multi-tenant office, industrial, or warehouse properties
  • Experience with commercial leases and property financials
  • Proficiency with Yardi and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and meet deadlines
  • Valid California driver's license and insurance; willingness to use personal vehicle for local travel (mileage reimbursed)
  • On-site presence required; this position is not remote
